Descente vers Cortina d’Ampezzo
Malheureusement, le dernier jour de notre randonnée est arrivé. Aujourd'hui, nous laissons les hautes montagnes derrière nous et descendons vers Cortina d’Ampezzo, une charmante ville dans une large vallée ensoleillée. Connue comme une célèbre destination de sports d'hiver, Cortina est l'endroit parfait pour terminer notre semaine.
Sunrise at the top
We woke up at 6 am to watch the sun rise above the mountains. It was absolutely magical. It's like you're the only ones in the world at this height and with those surroundings.
The final descent
After an early breakfast, we began our descent from the mountains. We made our way down gradually through beautiful alpine landscapes. • Distance: 12.5 km • Ascent: 0m • Descent: 1360m
Arrival in Cortina d’Ampezzo
By midday, we arrived in Cortina d’Ampezzo. The town’s charm was a contrast to the mountain trails we had walked. We took some time to have one last lunch together with the other hikers and enjoyed a big pizza and a beer before taking the shuttle back to Misurina. With the option to continue our travels or head home from Misurina, we each made our own plans for the next steps. The journey through the Dolomites has been nothing short of mind-blowing!
