Novo Mesto the city

Going into this city I had a few must sees on my list. We didn't get to see/find it all, but if you do, let me know, where I can find them. But first things first: find a cheap parking spot right outside the city: https://maps.app.goo.gl/UkYuQgJHeS2DU4c28 Now a few must sees: - The cathedral - a famous bridge (Kandijski Most) - Bisdom Novo Mesto - Ragou bridge Besides the must sees, if you stay near the center or near the water, you can easily take a relaxing stroll. I'd say: enjoy your day here, find lunch, do some shopping, do some exploring...

À un moment donné, vous vous demanderez peut-être s'il vaut la peine de prendre le dernier bout de route, s'il est même accessible. Je dirais, allez-y si vous aimez un peu l'exploration urbaine.

Abandoned castle on a questionable road

THIS CASTLE IS ABONDENED AND NOT EASY TO GET TO, preferable you have a 4x4, otherwise, I don't recommend going here with a new fancy car. The road is long and bumpy, but once you get there, if you are lucky, you are there alone, there isn't really parking, but you can 'park' on the grass. What used to be a stunning castle, is now a ruin but they are working to restore some things here. Other than that, i believe the youth comes here to get drunk, away from the crowds. You can see this by the garbage that's left behind. It is however, a beautiful spot and if you trust the old ladders, you can go 'up' a floor. Enjoy urban discovery.

On the way down

On the way down from the old ruin, we saw this building in passing by. We decided to stop here, unfortunately the museum part was closed at the time of our visit. The castle does look stunning, and I would have definitely paid a visit to the museum if we had the opportunity at that moment. You can explore the gardens which I very much recommend.
