Hike PR1 - Pico do Arieiro to Pico Ruivo
The most beautiful (and popular) hike of the vacation! With huge elevation changes and endless stairs, this hike has a higher level of difficulty, but very rewarding! You start at the Pico Do Ariero and end at the Pico Ruivo. The hike can be done one way or two ways. The one-way route is 9 kilometers and has an altitude difference of 900 meters. If you decide to do the single route, you can choose to take a taxi back to Pico Do Arieiro (if your car is parked there).
