Take the TRAM d'Alacant to Villajoyosa
No car? No problem! The Costa Blanca truly has an amazing public transportation system, with the tram running all the way from Alicante to Benidorm and even further when using connecting lines. It does take a little longer to get everywhere, but as it drives along the coast and through the mountains, it never gets boring. And it's also extremely affordable: a single trip within 1 zone will only cost you €1,45.

Stroll through Villajoyosa and admire its colored houses
Villajoyosa is one of the most beautiful towns at the Costa Blanca and quickly became our favorite as well. Its colored houses right next to the beach as well as in the cosy alleys offer a unique and vibrant setting to stroll through for hours. When walking down from the tram station to the water, you will automatically discover this town's beauty.

Enjoy homemade paella at Le Cabanon
The other best thing to do in Villajoyosa is to enjoy some local food next to the ocean and simply enjoy the surroundings. We found Le Cabanon restaurant the perfect place to do so, and also one where they offer a variety of tasty homemade paellas.
À la même station où vous êtes arrivé d'El Campello, vous pouvez prendre le même tram jusqu'à Benidorm. Vous devez acheter un billet de zone B car c'est plus loin.

Watch the sunset at Balcón del Mediterráneo, Benidorm
To be fair, Benidorm itself wasn't really our vibe, but I would however go back just for this magical viewpoint alone. From the Balcón del Mediterráneo you can not only enjoy the best view of the Benidorm skyline and coast, but also a stunning sunset.
