I didn't expect that drinking beers in a brewery would be my favorite activity. But here we are! La Brasserie De Coureur, run by Bart and his wife, Ine, is incredibly cool. Why, you ask? Well, first of all, because we feel good there. The general setting is cozy, with no music or television as distractions. There are a few tables inside or, in good weather, a small garden. Or even better, sit at the counter directly. Here you can taste local beers with diverse and varied flavors. The one that surprised us the most tasted like coffee.
What did I like? They work with lots of local stores: a butcher's shop to offer exceptional sausage, local coffee, and hops from their brewery. What we chose is called a Peloton. The goal is to receive 4 to 5 beers per board. Drink from the mildest to the strongest. This allows you to really taste several beers. I love this concept. We accompanied it, following the owners' suggestion, with Hop Water (both non-alcoholic and alcoholic). This was a first, and I found it really pleasant and very smooth to sip. Beyond all that, Ine and Bart are incredibly kind and explain everything to you.
