Sunrise hike with wild horses

Set your alarm clock early and go on a wildlife hunt right next to the Maas river. Here, you'll always be able to find wild horses and cows - incredible to see, especially for Belgium and The Netherlands. Park your car at "Paanhuisstraat 1" in Uikhoven and follow the orange signs. It's a walk of 14,5 kilometres, but you can choose to walk a shorter one too (about 7 kilometres). On your way, take in the sound of nature and watch the many birds wake up.

Kayak on the Maas

More nature-indulging this morning, but this time literally on the river Maas. Hop on a kayak in Smeermaas and follow the river for a few kilometres. Active, but so relaxing at the same time. Here as well, wild cows and horses will pop up - as well as lots of birds. Rent your kayak at "Kayak Maasland" for a seamless and professional experience.
