Safari en bateau & détente dans le bain à remous
Safari en bateau le matin sur le lac Jozini suivi d'un après-midi de détente dans notre bain à remous. Pas de meilleur endroit pour vivre notre tout premier safari. Nous avons repéré 2 des grands 5 en moins d'une heure.
Boat safari on Lake Jozini in Pongola Game Reserve
At 7am our ranger 'Sipo' picked us up at our tent for a boat safari. After a short ride through the reserve we stepped inside a boat of which he showed us in 2h a variety of wildlife on the shores of the lake. We scored 2 of the big 5 with the buffalo and the white rhino. And as a bonus we saw lots of antelopes, zebras, giraffes and even a crocodile and a hippo.
Breakfast at our tent
Around 10am we arrived back at our tent. Time for some late breakfast! We ordered a breakfast basket at check-in and this was brought to our tent perfectly on-time after our boat safari. Filled with eggs, bacon & sausages, break, cornflakes and many more.
Relaxing in our (hot) tub & braai
In the afternoon we relaxed a little bit. Those early mornings and the 40°C afternoons are kicking in... so no better way to cool down than use our hot tub as a plunge pool. And we were not alone: a male nyala took his change to come and drink from our tub. We ended our day South African style: with another braai!
