Whale and dolphin watching in the waters of Madeira

Set sail from Calheta on a small boat for an unforgettable whale and dolphin watching adventure. As we left the harbor behind and cruised into the open sea, we were treated to stunning views of Madeira’s rugged coastline from the deck of the boat. The real excitement began as we scanned the waves for signs of marine life. With the crew’s guidance, and help from spotters on land, we soon saw dolphins playfully swimming alongside us and even beneath the boat! Although we didn’t spot any whales this time (nature is unpredictable, after all), the dolphins alone made this trip truly special! What made the experience even better was the small group size, which gave it a more personal and intimate feel. The crew made sure everyone felt included, shared interesting facts about the animals we encountered and happily answered all our questions. Whether you're a wildlife lover, a family with kids or simply curious about Madeira’s marine life, this tour is a beautiful way to connect with nature and see the island from a different perspective.
