Exploring Moraine Lake
Hop on a shuttle bus to scenic Moraine Lake, an iconic glacier lake cradled by towering mountains. Lace-up your hiking boots for the Larch Valley trail and end the day relaxing in the lodge.

Explore Moraine Lake
As one of the most photographed lakes in the world, visiting Moraine Lake is a must when in Banff. The lake is surrounded by towering mountains, called the ten peaks. Follow the short trail to the left of the parking lot, leading to the Rock Pile Viewpoint for a stunning view. The brilliant blue hues are just gorgeous! 🩵

Hike the Larch Valley Trail
There are many hiking trails around Moraine Lake. The easiest one is the 3 km Lakeshore Trail, which takes you around the lake. The Larch Valley Trail, my favourite, is a moderate out-and-back trail of 9 km, leading to a beautiful valley with a great view of the ten peaks. On the way back to Moraine Lake, definitely take a short detour to explore 1-2 km of the Eiffel Lake Trail to see the lake from above.

Unwind & dine in the lodge 🧖‍♀️
After that hike, it’s time for some well-deserved relaxation in the hot tub of the lodge! Warm up, relax and get ready for dinner in the lodge’s restaurant.
