Strolling through Venice
Venice isn’t a city you “do” — it’s a place you wander, preferably with no map and an Aperol Spritz in hand. From spontaneous aperitivo stops in hidden piazzas to getting happily lost among bridges and canals, every corner has its own charm (and often, its own snack). In this blog, I’m taking you along on my weekend stroll through Venice — a relaxed, slightly tipsy journey filled with beautiful views, good food, and just the right amount of aimless wandering.

Brunch at Fluffy Brunch
We visited Fluffy Brunch twice for a delightful brunch experience. They offer a variety of dishes, ranging from fluffy pancakes to delicious toasts, and more. Located just a short walk from the Rialto Bridge, the best part is that the prices are surprisingly reasonable for such a central spot.

Rialto Bridge
If you want to experience the Rialto Bridge without the crowds, it’s best to arrive early in the morning. As the day progresses, the area fills up quickly with tourists, making it harder to appreciate the bridge's beauty and the surrounding views. A quiet early visit offers the perfect opportunity to enjoy this iconic spot before it becomes a bustling hub.

126 Churches in Venice
Venice is home to over 126 churches, each with its own unique history and charm. From grand basilicas to quiet, hidden gems tucked away in the city's narrow streets, these churches offer a fascinating glimpse into the spiritual and artistic heritage of Venice. Many are adorned with stunning artworks, frescoes, and intricate architecture, making them not only places of worship but also treasures for art lovers and history enthusiasts alike.
Gondola ride
A gondola ride in Venice is a must-do experience, offering a unique perspective of the city's charming canals. For a fixed price of €90, you can glide through the serene waterways, passing under ancient bridges and past colorful buildings. It’s a real Venetian experience, ideal for taking in the beauty of the city at a relaxed pace.

Piazza San Marco
Piazza San Marco, the iconic heart of Venice, is surrounded by historic buildings and stunning architecture. Often called the most beautiful square in Europe, it’s dominated by the grand St. Mark's Basilica and the clock tower. It’s the perfect place to soak in the city's atmosphere, watch the pigeons, or relax with a coffee at one of the elegant cafés.

Chicceterias
In Venice, chiccheterias are the perfect spots to enjoy a casual yet authentic Venetian experience. These small serve a variety of local wines and delicious cicchetti—Venetian tapas-style dishes like seafood, crostini, and meatballs. They offer a laid-back atmosphere where locals and tourists alike gather to enjoy a drink, nibble on small bites, and soak in the lively Venetian vibe.

Gelateria Gallonetto
Gelateria Gallonetto is a hidden gem in Venice, offering some of the city's best gelato. Located just a short walk from the Rialto Bridge, this charming gelateria is known for its rich, creamy flavors made from high-quality, fresh ingredients.
