The lively city of Rotterdam
Next up: Rotterdam! Start your day with a healthy breakfast, visit the famous cube houses and enjoy different cuisines in Markthal.

Start your day with a healthy breakfast at Joe & the Juice
If you're looking for a healthy breakfast spot in Rotterdam, Joe & the Juice is definitely worth checking out. They offer a variety of delicious juices, smoothies, and breakfast options that are sure to leave you feeling energized and satisfied. While the food and juices were undeniably delicious, we did find that the portions were rather small. Nevertheless, the quality of the ingredients and the cozy atmosphere are a great start to your day in Rotterdam! Also, bonus points for Joe & the Juice for including the calories on the menu. Great way to ensure you're staying withing your daily colorie intake ;-).
After a light and healthy breakfast, it is time to do some sightseeing. A lovely 10 minute stroll will take you to your next destination.

Marvel at the famous cube houses
The Cube Houses are an architectural gem that simply cannot be missed. Designed by Dutch architect Piet Blom in the 1970s, these houses are a striking example of the innovative architecture that Rotterdam is famous for. The houses are built in the shape of cubes tilted at a 45-degree angle, creating a visually stunning effect. We went all the way up to the "central courtyard" and spent almost half an hour looking up. Our necks hurt a little, but it was so worth it!
You'll probably be hungry by now, but fear not: food is (literally) right around the corner! Just cross the square at Blaak station, this should take you about 5 minutes.

Enjoy different cuisines at Markthal
Markthal is a food lover's paradise that simply cannot be missed. This indoor market is home to a wide variety of food stands and cuisines, offering something for everyone. We recommend going all the way around first to see where you want to order, so you don't have any regrets. The market itself is stunning as well, make sure to admire the beautiful ceiling ;-). The bustling atmosphere and delicious smells make for an unforgettable experience!
Your final destination is maybe the most well-known attraction in all of Rotterdam. Depending on the wheather you can get there in 20 minutes on foot, or 5 minutes by car. We really recommend going for a nice walk that will take you past the Leuvehaven (port) so you can admire all the boats, yachts, and ships!

Admire the Erasmusbrug
The last stop before returning home is the Erasmusbrug. This cable stayed bridge connects the north and south parts of Rotterdam and crosses the Nieuwe Maas river. It is a stunning example of modern engineering and design and a symbol of Rotterdam's boldness and innovation, which makes it a must-visit attraction for anyone visiting this vibrant city! There are countless spots around the bridge from where you can take photos, or even have a picnic!
