Start your day by admiring the Saint-Jacques church

Saint-Jacques is Dieppe’s oldest and biggest church, and can be found right on Place Saint Jacques. It was originally built in the 12th century, and was used as a pilgrimage church on the way to Santiago de Compostela. How cool is that? You’ll immediately recognize the elements of the Renaissance style when looking at its beautiful facade.. Make sure to look out for the stained-glass windows, too. They definitely were our favorite part of the church!

Visit the Saint-Rémy church

Continue your morning with another spiritual visit ;-) It’s an absolute must-do to stop by the amazing Saint-Rémy church when you’re in Dieppe. This Gothic church was built in the 16th century, and has been a listed building since 1910. Restoration efforts have been ongoing since the early 90s to preserve this magnificent house of God, this was no different during our visit. All construction works aside, we can definitely say that this was our favorite church in Dieppe. We’re big fans of all the gorgeous golden details!

Your next destination is a 15-minute walk away. Be sure to check out the countless cute shops along the way!

Stroll along the Port of Dieppe

The Port of Dieppe, located right in the heart of the town, is the perfect spot for a leisurely stroll. Even though Dieppe isn’t the biggest of cities, it still has a very lively harbor! We really recommend taking place on one of the benches along the quay. That way you can fully enjoy all the hustle and bustle of fishing boats or sailors going about their business, whilst sitting right in the center of the action. So fun to see!

Drinks with a view at Le Patio

Now that you find yourself at the harbor, you might as well enjoy a delicious cocktail at Le Patio! This rooftop bar is part of the hotel La Tour aux Crabes, and offers some amazing cocktails and tapas. Even though the cocktails are great and the food menu looks delicious, this isn’t even the best part about Le Patio. The highlight lies in the beautiful panoramic views of the bustling port! It’s the perfect place to unwind for a bit after a busy day in Dieppe.

Walk down the harbor to your last destination of the day.

Seafood dinner at Le Comptoir à Huîtres

End your day with some delicious and fresh seafood at Le Comptoir à Huîtres. This authentic little restaurant has gotten some high praise from the renowned Gault & Millau and Michelin guides over the years, which makes this a must-try! At Le Comptoir à Huîtres, there's no set menu. Instead, you get to choose from the fresh catch of the day, brought and presented right at your table. That’s something we really like, and which makes the whole experience so much more fun! The day we visited we were lucky, they had just caught some beautiful lobsters. Let us tell you, we have never eaten such a delicious lobster! The whole dish, including the “sauce” based on garlic and olive oil, was so good that we were tempted to return the next day for more. Who would’ve thought that such a simple combination would be such a delight! Also, a big plus for the cozy Parisian brasserie vibe as well! ;-) Talk about being transported back in time!
