Esch-sur-Sûre & Lac de la Haute-Sûre

Luxembourg has hardly any significant water bodies, but one of them is the Haute-Sûre lake. The lake has been created by a hydro dam and is a wonderful place for all sorts of water activities. It's also a nature park, so there are many wonderful hiking paths surrounding it. You'll find some of the best views at Burfelt. There are hardly any towns around the lake, but there is the small village of Esch-sur-Sûre. It is definitely a beautiful picturesque place to stop by, due to its location in a valley and the castle ruin at the top of the town.
