Boutique cityhotel in Paris

Located in the heart of SoPi in Paris (South Pigalle), boutique hotel Grand Pigalle Experimental feels like a stylish friend’s apartment. At least, if that friend had great taste and a love for jazz music. The rooms are compact yet classy, with velvet touches, golden accents, and views that remind you exactly where you are. Yet what I loved most was the location: lots of vibrant squares are near, you can easily walk to Montmartre and at night, the Moulin Rouge is only 5 minutes away.

Morning walk in Montmartre

From Pigalle, it's just a 10-15 minute walk up to the Montmartre neighborhood and its impressive cathedral Sacré Coeur. Get lost in the streets and from here, walk all the way to the "Tuileries". That way you'll pass some beautiful streets of Paris.

Lunch at Freddy's

Take the subway to a delicious and cozy lunch spot: Freddy's. Walk-ins only. Take a seat at the bar and let the local sommelier guide you on which wines are worth tasting. Order the razor clams and some freshly cut meat to share. This is the kind of place you stay much longer than planned.

Relax in the Seine-sun

On a sunny day in Paris, there's nothing quite better than just finding a spot near the Seine river. Make yourself comfortable (if you're lucky, a street musician will play some tunes), close your eyes and enjoy the sound of the water & the city.

Louvre to Concorde walk

Now it's time for some more sightseeing. Walk from the Louvre towards Place de La Concorde and stop for some relax-time at the fountains along the way. This is a busy area of the city, yet one you can't skip. From here, walk (or subway) back to your hotel.
