Check-in at Kensington Place

We love nothing more than having a safe haven that feels like home when traveling. Always on the looking for a cosy, intimate boutique hotel. We found just that at Kensington Place in the city center of Cape Town. Looks like a small villa on the outside, feels like paradise on earth once you walk through the gate. They have all day/all night guards here, so it's really safe (not unimportant in Cape Town).

Take your rental car (it is definitely safe enough to drive yourself!) to Signal Hill

Sunset viewpoint Signal Hill

By the time the sun starts setting, head to the Signal Hill viewpoint. Find yourself a parking spot and walk around, looking at the impressive Table Mountain and Lion's Head right next to the sea. The sun will set right in front of you, beautiful! Important one: leave about 15 minutes before the sun is really gone - see next experience 😉

Now drive towards restaurant "La Colombe", taking "Victoria Road". Stu-nning!! We literally wanted to stop everywhere.

Drive Victoria Road

This deserves some attention on its own, as this drive is amazingly beautiful. Just check out the pics and dream away.

Dinner of your life: La Colombe

In need of a reservation a few weeks before because this is just the place EVERY gastronomy lover wants to go: La Colombe. It surprised us from the welcoming snack at the counter, to the toilet interior and the friendly staff. Every dish has a story to tell and is visually pleasing. Literally can't wait to go back (would go to CT just for this 😜). My full report of this restaurant can be found on www.chapeaumagazine.com!
