Italy
Arriving in paradise
First stop: Scopello. With its stunning beaches and surrounding national park, it’s a must for nature lovers.

Pick up your Sunny Car at Palermo airport
You can’t visit Sicily without a rental car according to me. You’d miss all the beautiful stops! Book your rental car at Sunny Cars, because you’ll be sure that all your insurances are covered. Worry-free! Pick it up at Palermo airport & you’re ready to go 🙌🏼

Check-in at the most authentic AirBnb
Now drive to Scopello for the first day! It takes about an hour. There we checked in at a beautiful & authentic airbnb (see link hereunder). A small holiday home of the sweetest Italian people with a view to die for. Don’t expect the greatest luxury here, but it felt immediately like home to us. The only downside is the small and basic bathroom, but all the rest is just perfect. Name of the AirBnb: Rising Sun a Casa di Tore. Loved that it was just a 2’ drive to the center of Scopello.

Breakfast in Scopello
Love the Italian life: go and have a cappucino and a pastry at Bar Pasticceria in the historical center of Scopello. Yum & a cozy terrace!

Bucketlist beach day 🌊
The rest of the day is for relaxing. Not just anywhere, because this stunning beach has been on my bucketlist since a few years. Welcome to Tonnara di Scopello! This old Tuna Factory next to a boutique hotel was transformed into a beach that is just breathtaking. Busy & vibrant: very ‘Italy’ for me. €15 entrance fee, but you get a full day of relaxing and a beach chair in return 🌞

Dinner with a view
We drove down to the city center again from our Airbnb for dinner, and chose a restaurant that has a terrace with a view. It’s called ‘Bar Nettuno’ and they serve mainly fresh fish. Nothing too special but tasty & nice setting!
