The Great Wall of China

You have different kinds of areas to visit to Great Wall. But I’ll give you the best option. (; The Jinshanling section of the great wall isn’t that busy than any other area and has a wild part where you can fly your drone if you have one. It also provides a cable car if you’re not into hiking. At the reception of the Jinshanling sectio, where you buy your entrance tickets, there’s a map with all different kinds of trails. We chose the 4 hour walk ‘the three must-sees of the Great Wall’ and it costs 110 yuan for 2 persons. How to get there? Because of Covid I didn’t trust any information on the internet. Because a lot has changed. Instead of stressing out, we just booked a taxi at the hotel. It will cost betweet 700 – 1000 yuan, but it’s easy and you don’t have to stress about anything. The taxi will wait for you and you don’t have to hurry to take the bus. There is another option to arrange a taxi. Just click on the website down here.

Lost plate food tour

If you go early to the great wall, you’ll be on time for the l'ost plate food tour' at 6:30 pm. If you have limited time in Beijing and you’re into food, go on this tour, you’ll taste different kinds of Beijing’s finest local food. If you have plenty of time, don’t go and do your own thing. In my opinion, it’s overpriced. It costs 75 euros/pp drinks, transport and food included. So create your own street food tour instead. I‘ll give you plenty of options in my blogpost www.mimivoyage.com (not online yet).
