Calgary city centre

In the morning we stroled through the city centre of Calgary. We visited the library, the city hall and just walked around and feel the cities 'rodeo vibe'. Yes, if the Calgary Stampede is happening, you see in in the whole city.

The Calgary Stampede

The Calgary Stampede is an annual rodeo, exhibition, and festival held every July for ten days in Calgary, It calls itself "The Greatest Outdoor Show on Earth", and can only urge you to visit when you have the chance. It features one of the world's largest rodeos, a parade, midway, stage shows, concerts, agricultural competitions, chuck wagon racing, ... You have to buy separate tickets for the day and/or evening show. We went to the evening show, and it did not disappoint. It was a spectacular show with singers, dancers, a light and drone show, and it ended with spectacular fireworks. It was the best end of our holiday in Canada!
