Ready for one of the most amazing experiences of your life? Then go on a gorilla trekking! You’ll be welcomed by local dancers, will get a briefing and then you’ll set off in the rainforest. In Bwindi there are several gorilla families, all spread out in different parts of the forest. You can choose yourself how intense you want your hike to be, after which they m asign a gorilla family to you. Together with several rangers, we opted for the medium one. A tough hike (uphill) on slippery paths brought us to the gorillas after 1.15hours. And that moment was just indescribable 🥹 such beautiful creatures. Made me feel very small, yet grateful too. Important info on price: Gorillas are an endangered species, so have to be taken care of in a special way. That makes this a very expensive activity. Currently (2024) the cost is €650 per person.
Pinch yourself and relax
