Beach day in Mondragó
What is better than one beach? That's right, three beaches. Spend the day in the natural park of Mondragó with three beaches at walking distance, have lunch at the local Chiringuito. Best place to watch sunset? Porto Petro!

Where to stay in the South of Mallorca
The South of Mallorca is basically one string of picture-perfect coves. Some good access points are Cala Figuera, Ses Salines or Cala D'Or. Santanyi is also an option, but is located a bit further from the sea. Our holiday home was located in Porto Petro: a tiny village near Cala D'Or but without the tourists. This small place is located about one hour from Palma De Mallorca and easily accessible by car. Link to the airbnb is added below!

Have a beach day around Mondragó
A fifteen minute drive from Porto Petro lies Natural Park Mondragó. Park your car at the Centre d'Informació and walk about 10 minutes to the first beach: Sa Font d'Alis. Since this is the most easily accessible beach, it's the busiest. Another 10 minutes away is S'Amarador. This sandy beach is perfect for rolling out your towel and enjoying the water now and again. Do you want the true "Mallorca blue cove experience"? Go to Calo des Borgit. This sandy beach with a lot of rocks is located about 20 minutes away from the first beach Sa Font de N'Alis. You will walk through a nice pine forest with cicadas chirping and the sea breeze blowing softly. Hungry? Have lunch at the Chringuito at Sa Font de n'Alis. It's not the best, but it's tasty after long swims in the salty water.

Diner at Na Petra
Looking for a cozy place to eat in Porto Petro? Go to Na Petra. This small but welcoming restaurant has a lot to offer: from delicious Mallorcan wines to fresh fish like sea bass and cod, but also reimagined classics such as the patatas bravas. Cocktails are also worth mentioning :-) Fancy a very local and undiscovered alternative? Then go to La Vermutería in Cala D'Or. Surprisingly good. Pictures are from Google Reviews but give a good impression.
