See the Seehornsee and the Vorderkaserklamm
Two hikes in one day. Both fairly short and fairly easy, and not too far apart. Get your hiking boots ready for these amazing viewpoints.

Through the Vorderkaserklamm Canyon
In the Vorderkaserklamm you go back in time. At the end of the Ice Age, meltwater from the glaciers carved a gorge in the surrounding rocks. About 12,000 to 14,000 years ago, the canyon (Klamm) came into being. The churning mountain river chops 5 to 6 mm of rock out of the rock every year. Start at the Vorderkaserklamm Alm. This is a 5 minute drive from the first parking lot where you have to pay a parking fee. Near the alm, parking is for free and you save about 3 kilometers of hiking up. The total trip around the Vorderkaserklamm is about 2,5 kilometers with an ascent gain of 130 meters.

Hike to the Seehornsee
From Pürzlbach or Waltlmühlsäge you hike in approx. 1.5 hours to the Kallbrunnalm. Continue straight on to the "Käsealm". At this hut, you have the option of turning right towards the Dießbach reservoir or left towards Seehornsee and Seehorn summit. After a good 500 meters, the forest road branches off into a hiking trail. You then walk for approx. 1 hour through a beautiful pine forest until you reach the Seehornsee lake. It's worth taking a short break here and enjoying the view (make sure you pack your swimming gear!) If you want, you can continue your journey to the Seehorn, offering wonderful views over the valley.
