Tbilisi (formerly: Tiflis) is the vibrant capital of Georgia, and in my opinion, the ideal city trip. It has the charms of Prague, boasts numerous cozy squares and bars, and is less than a 5-hour flight from Belgium or the Netherlands.
The Silk Road, which connected Europe and Asia since the first century, allowed the city to develop. The city is therefore an incredible mix of East and West. The blend of Byzantine, Eastern, and European cultures is a feast for the eyes.
