Very rainy and misty day, yet we found an amazing activity to still be amazed by Zillertal’s nature: the Hintertux Gletsjer! Check out the details.

How cool is it to see actual snow in the middle of summer?! Well, Zillertal knows how to do it. Head to Hintertux to take the cable car up to the highest point of the gletsjer (‘Gletsjercar’ 1, 2 & 3). Dress accordingly because it gets cold 🥶. Now you can buy a ticket to visit the Natur Eispalast, a guided visit IN a natural gletsjer. Very, very impressive.

Nothing better than wellness after the cold. Head to Hotel Post to enjoy one of the saunas or go for a massage.
Gastronomic dinner at Schulhaus
As we love nothing more than fine dining every now & then, we took one night ‘off’ Hotel Post and went to Schulhaus Tirol instead. Soooo good! Two passionate young men (chef & sommelier) serve 4 to 7 course menus, all with local and fresh ingredients. Every course is paired to a suiting wine and damn, it was delicious. We weren’t lucky with the weather, but on sunny days their terrace makes your eyes pop & your mouth drop. A must for foodies!!
