Suites del Mundo at Alhaurin El Grande

Alhaurin el Grande is a charming white town in the mountains of Andalucia, 40 mins away from Malaga. Alhaurin means 'people of the valley' , so the name gives away this town is located within a valley. Walking around town can feel like a work out sometimes, going up and down the mountains. :)) The white facades of the village stand out beautifully against the bright blue sky that you almost always have here. Suites el Mundo is located behind one of those cute, white facades. Behind the doors you'll find 6 beautifully renovated suites. The building is just an authentic Spanish house, which gives your stay a homey feel. The hallway is transformed to a small reception and lobby area. The 'city garden' is a welcoming space with a beautiful pool, sun beds, parasols and an outdoor kitchen free to use for guests. You can see the Dutch owners, took their time to renovate the place and make it a little sanctuary. All over the communal areas you can find little games to play and books to read. The owners will make sure you feel just at home here. The outdoor kitchen has everything you need, with a personal fridge for each suite. - this trip was made possible by Eliza was here. Walking down the street, you'll get to one of the main squares of Alhaurin el Grande: Plaza del Ayuntamiento. A cosy square where locals gather for morning coffee or late in the afternoon when the sun starts to set. During the day, temperatures can get hot so the locals stay inside. We were blessed with full summer days during October, so it did get hot during the day. Suites del Mundo is a great location to start your town discovery.
