Hotel Eggers is one of the oldest hotels in Sweden, and stepping inside feels a little like stepping back in time. The interiors are grand and elegant, but the atmosphere is never stiff—thanks to the incredibly kind staff who make you feel at home right away. The location is unbeatable. Right across from the central station, with trams, trains, and ferries just outside the door, it couldn’t be easier to explore the city and even make a day trip out to the islands. Breakfast deserves its own mention. It was generous, varied, and so delicious that I would happily return just for that. This trip was made possible in collaboration with Tourism West Sweden.
