Visit the infamous Coconut Tree Hill and Mirissa’s beaches
Mirissa, nestled along Sri Lanka's southern coast, is a coastal haven celebrated for its pristine beaches and iconic Coconut Tree Hill. The golden sands of Mirissa's beach offer a tranquil escape, ideal for sunbathing and water activities like surfing and snorkeling. The picturesque Coconut Tree Hill provides breathtaking panoramic views of the coastline and is a popular spot for capturing the magical sunrise or sunset. Mirissa's charm lies in its stunning beaches, vibrant atmosphere, and the allure of its coastal landscapes, making it a must-visit destination for those seeking a serene tropical escape.

Walk to Parrot Rock
Parrot Rock is a rock formation off the coast of Mirissa. It stands out as a natural landmark and is a popular destination for travelers. Accessible by a short stroll along the beach, this rock formation, resembling a parrot's beak, provides not only a unique photo opportunity but also stunning views of the surrounding ocean. Beware that as the tide rises this spot is difficult and maybe even dangerous to reach by foot.

Swim with turtles at Turtle Beach
Swimming with turtles at Turtle Beach in Mirissa is an enchanting experience. The beach is known for its resident sea turtle population, and as you venture into the clear waters, you may find yourself surrounded by these graceful creatures. The gentle giants gracefully navigate the ocean, creating a magical atmosphere. You will see that some local people will try to lure the turtles with fresh seaweed or something else that’s delicious to turtles. We advise you not to participate in these activities nor touch the turtles how tempting it might be.

Picnic at Coconut Tree Hill
Coconut Tree Hill in Mirissa, Sri Lanka, is a mesmerizing vantage point renowned for its panoramic views of the Indian Ocean. Nestled on a hill adorned with swaying coconut palms, the location offers an ideal spot to witness breathtaking sunsets and enjoy the coastal beauty. I thought the vibe was very similar to Es Vedra in Ibiza as people find their spot one by one. We suggest to take a picnic with you so you can enjoy it to the fullest! It is a very picturesque scene, with coconut trees silhouetted against the vibrant sky. Sadly, there is now a rope set in the area, suggesting there will be some touristic development on the spot soon.
