Sri Lanka
Another day, another safari awaits
Haven’t seen enough elephants yet? Drive your tuktuk towards Udawalawe Safari Park which has one of the largest elephant population on the island. It’s yet another beautiful place where you have a 99,9% to encounter elephants in the wild. Make sure to book with the right company and have breakfast while staying on the look out for wildlife. We strongly advise against visiting the Elephant Orphanage, although it sounds appealing. We experienced firsthand how the baby elephants were mistreated and used as a tourist attraction. You can leave to the South Coast after the safari.

Udawalawa safari park
Known for its high population of elephants, Udawalawe is a well-visited national park. There is a lot of wildlife to be seen, but you’ll be certain to see a lot of elephants. The fun thing about this safari is that you can have a picnic with a view on the lake and waterfall, and you can spot wildlife in the lake while having breakfast. Beware with which company you book this safari as there are a lot of cowboys out there who ask way too much.
