Arriving in Amman
On our first day we arrived at the airport of Amman around 1:00 PM in the afternoon. After picking up our car, we drove to our Airbnb to drop our luggage before exploring the city a bit. Spoiler: driving in and around Amman can be quite a hassle if you don't like driving in extremely busy areas. Outside of Amman, driving in Jordan is really calm and safe. As some blogs already suggested, Amman was fine to walk around for an afternoon during your arrival day. But as the city is really noisy and dirty, I would also not recommend to stay there longer than a night. In the evening we had a nice dinner at a cozy restaurant called Sufra in Rainbow street, where you can share some mezze (recommended). Our Airbnb host also hosted some drinks with friends, where we were invited for a nice and chill first evening of our holiday.

Visit the citadel of Amman
During our first day we had a walk through Amman to spend our first hours in Jordan. Although we were not blown away by the theatre and the citadel, the citadel was a nice viewpoint to watch the sun go down over the city. The first of many beautiful sunsets that Jordan has to offer.
