Natural pools, Masca Valley and wine tasting
Discover more natural pools today with Los Gigantes mountains in the backdrop. Driving a beautiful mountain road afterwards, and ending the day with a local wine tasting 🍷

Natural pools in a stunning decor
Start your day (again) with a fresh swim at one of Tenerife's natural pools. This time at Alcala. When walking along the path next to the sea, you'll have many many to choose from. Super refreshing and... with a view! Los Gigantes mountains pop out right in front of you when swimming here. Grab lunch here at one of the beach stalls (nothing too special, yet perfectly fine as a little snack).
Take your car to Masca Valley now and expect a route with MANY stops :-).

The Masca Valley drive
An experience on its own: the drive to Masca Valley. This mountain road surprises you after each and every turn with impressive views on the hills and the sea. Just like a movie. There is one little drink spot with basic terrace along the road, nice one to stop and take a refreshing break.

Visit the town of Masca
Masca: Tenerife's best secret if you ask me. This small town is located right behind a big rock, and the myth goes that this was a perfect spot to hide from pirates arriving via the sea. Correct or not, today it's a beautiful little town surrounded by palmtrees, fields, the sea and fresh flowers. The view here reminded me of Peru - doesn't feel like Europe at all!

Local wine tasting and dinner at Bodegas Monje
Did you know that Tenerife produces a lot of great wines? 🍷 Yes, this island really has it all! I did quite some research to find a winery with both good wines and a view while sipping them. The answer: Bodegas Monje. While looking at the Teide, you can enjoy delicious wines and local cheeses. Nice to stay for dinner as well (preferably during sunset).
