Seitan Limania, my favorite swim spot near Chania, Crete

⏱️ 15 min from Chania airport, Crete 👟 Wear good shoes — rocky path 🌞 Little shade, best in the morning If you’re flying into Chania and picking up a rental car, please don’t skip this spot. Just 15 minutes from the airport, and honestly one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever swum. At first it feels remote, barely any traffic, just rocks and turns - but once you park, you’ll catch a glimpse of what’s coming: turquoise water tucked between steep cliffs. The walk down is rocky and steep (bring closed shoes), but after a few flower bushes and some scrambling, you land in a small secluded cove where the light blue water melts into the dark sea. I recommend going early in the morning, because of how crowded it can get for such a small spot. No shade though, so bring water, sunscreen and maybe even a hat. ☀️ → If you love dramatic landscapes and wild beaches, this one will stay with you.
