Hidden gem Sikkilsdalshoa
Escape the tourist lines and hike to Sikkilsdalhoa (1.774 m). A moderately challenging hike that offers rewarding views over lake Gjende, the river Sjoa and the Jotunheimen mountains.

Hike up to the top of Sikkilsdalhoa
With a pleasant start at the Maurvangen camping and up through open birch forest, you continue in an easy climb up a good and T-marked path all the way to the top. There are some rivers you will have to cross with stepping stones. The view is formidable and one peak after another rises into the horizon as the altitude meters rise. The tour is suitable for anyone who wants to spend the day with a pleasant mountain tour, and is not touristy at all. Chances are you'll see almost no one. Bring lunch, enough water and clothing for every weather circumstance. Total length: 13 km Altitude gain: 800 moh Total duration: about 6 hours

Evening stroll in Stuttgonglie Naturreservat
Cross the river Sjoa at the Gamle Grinningsdalvegen and explore the many lakes and waters of the Stuttgonglie nature reserve. This quiet natural area hosts a lot of animal species and if you are lucky (like us) you can spot a moose drinking water from one of the lakes. A wonderful place to do an evening hike or to do animal spotting. Tip: look on OrganicMaps or Maps.me for all the small lakes and water bodies that you can access with walking paths or by car.
