Glacial adventures around Tyin
Take your car along the roads around the lake and explore the glacial lakes and blue iced mountains.

A drive around lake Tyin
Take the Eidsbugardvegen towards Fondsbu. This is a gravel road with lots of holes and bumps so don't go too fast. You'll have to be able to enjoy the views over the lake and the approaching glaciers as well.

Follow the Koldedola river
You can interpret this piece as a kind of safari. You drive all the way up, along the Koldedola river - which is a wild glacial river with huge waterfalls that look tiny on picture. A truly magnificent drive that will lead you to out of this world places.

Stroll amongst giants
These mountains are one of the highest in Norway. The Uranostindene is 2.157 m and the Falketind reaches 2.067. You can climb these glaciers but the demanding hikes are only for experienced mountaineers. If you want to enjoy the views from the Koldedalsvatnet, just hike up to the lake and the river beds or hike a bit further along the river.

Enjoy sunset at lake Tyin
Take the same way back following the Eidsbugardvegen but don't forget to park your car along the route and enjoy the sun disappearing behind the mountains, leaving pink and oranges hues in the evening sky.
