Hike around Leirungsdalen
Beautiful hike with view on the mountains and lakes such as Ovre and Nedre leirungen and Gjende. And perhaps you can see the hikers far away, walking the Besseggen. This is a valley walk so don't expect a lot of altitude meters or viewpoints. Just a really nice hike of about 12 km round trip and some 200 meters up and down. The starting point is the same as that from Knutshoe, a famous hike that attracts hundreds of visitors each day. To escape the crowd (and to watch them tackle some very challenging parts of the hike) you can choose to walk down the valley instead of on the ridge.
Hulderstigen by sunset
Hulderstigen offers a cultural and natural insight into the Sjodal Valley, while hiking along this birch and pine forested trail in the middle of Stuttgonglia Nature Reserve. There are 15 boards along the route informing you about the Sjodal area. Follow the trail as it leads you through easy terrain, taking you through the forest, along wetlands, small creeks, and ponds. Amazing views during sunset.
