Coffee in the morning, rowboat in the evening
The day started rainy: time for coffee at the Botun Gardencafé and and exploration of the nearby lakes. In the evening it started to clear up so we took out the rowboat for a nice time on the water.

Coffee and cake at Botun
Botun is a farm cafe, which offers coffee, baked goods, cakes and lunch dishes based on ingredients from the ecological garden, and is open from 11am to 4pm every day. Have a drink with a view over the flowers, fruits and vegetables which are also sold in the gardsbutik.

Explore Hafslovatnet and see a glacier
With the rain still pouring, we drove around Hafslovatnet all the way up to Veitastrond - a small village at the foot of the glaciers like the Austerdalsbreen. When the weather is good, you can follow a footpath along the valley of Austerdalen until you get to the glacier tongue itself.

Take the boat out to the fjords
If your accommodation has a rowing boat: great. If not, definitely rent one somewhere. The sun came out to greet and we took out the rowboat for a couple of hours on the fjord. A seal even showed himself nearby the boat!
