NIZWA
After this impressive hike, it's time to continue your way towards Nizwa where the goat market takes place every Friday morning. Along the way, you will pass by Bahla Fort and Jibreen Castle where you go back in time and learn about the history of Oman.

Nizwa
In almost all old cities in Oman, you will find a fort or a castle, and so it is in Nizwa. The fort in Nizwa is one of the oldest in Oman and was built in 1650. The fort was ingeniously built with all sorts of clever tricks to keep enemies out and withstand an attack. The entrance fee is about €12.50, and we found this expensive because the places below are just as beautiful but only cost €1.20 to enter. Unfortunately, you only receive a brochure with information about the fort, and there are no signs unlike other forts. Still, it is a very impressive building to walk through. The old center of Nizwa is great for wandering around. Stroll through the photogenic streets and head to Anat Café. In this cozy coffee shop, you can cool off and take a break. It's incredibly nice because it is so aesthetically styled. You can also take a walk along the restored city wall.
