Halong Bay: Sleeping on the sea

Yes, it’s popular. Yes, it’s touristy. But Halong Bay is still stunning. We did an overnight cruise and it felt like a dream—floating between those iconic limestone islands, jumping into the emerald water, watching the sky change color from the top deck. There was kayaking, swimming, and a lot of chilling. We joined a morning Thai Chi class on the deck as the sun rose over the bay, and at night we had fresh seafood under the stars. The cruise itself was comfortable, a bit fancy even, but the real magic was just being out on the water. Waking up surrounded by misty cliffs and total quiet? Unreal.
