One year ago today, we were in Seoul for one of our most special travel experiences : The Lotus Lantern Festival. This parade is held every spring (end of april/mid may) to celebrate Buddha’s Birthday. Colorful lanterns fill the streets, symbolizing wisdom and compassion.
A beautiful glimpse into Korean culture and spiritual heritage. 🏮 🧘 🌸 🇰🇷
Tip : go for the start of the parade to the Jogyese temple, the parade is on the closing saturday evening and starts around 19:30
For the best streetfood during or after the festival, go to Myeongdong.
