Discover the dazzling beauty of Jökulsárlón Glacier Lagoon Every now and then nature touches you so deeply that it leaves you speechless. In Iceland, the land of fire and ice, there are countless such places to be found, but one stood out for me : Jökulsárlón Glacier Lagoon. The combination of glacier water with floating (sometimes huge) blocks of ice, which have broken off from the glacier, gives this place something really magical. If you are lucky enough to view this place at sunset, you can sometimes witness a magical mirror spectacle. Throughout the year, seals can be spotted, and if you want to experience the glacier lake in a different way, you can participate in a boat tour. Since most people discover Iceland by renting a car and driving the Ring Road, this place just can not be missed. You can find it halfway between Skaftafell and Höfn, right by route 1.
