Fulidhoo
Fulidhoo is a small and picturesque local island, much smaller and quieter than Maafushi. It offers the idyllic, typical Maldivian "bounty beaches" with white sandy shores and crystal-clear waters. The island has a laid-back atmosphere with small guesthouses and local restaurants. However, since it's a much smaller island, there are fewer options for dining and accommodations. It's important to note that there is no ATM on the island, so make sure to withdraw enough cash in advance if you need it. Excursions here are reasonably priced and much less crowded, making it a perfect destination for those seeking a more serene and less commercialized Maldivian experience.

Snorkeling the Coral Reefs of Fulidhoo
On this island, there are fewer tour operators offering snorkeling tours compared to Maafushi. We booked a snorkeling tour through our hotel, Kinan Boutique, for €60. During the tour, we swam with over 100 dolphins, which was truly an unforgettable experience. If you're lucky, you might also spot a leopard shark. Afterward, we stopped at another spot to snorkel with sea turtles. To finish off, we snorkeled at Coral Garden, a large coral reef teeming with colorful fish. We were the only guests on the tour since there weren't many tourists. Snorkeling in the ocean with these magnificent creatures, surrounded by nothing but the sea, is an experience you will never forget. It's a must-do for anyone who loves the underwater world!
