Hike day, on a glacier!
We choose to stay two more nights at a hotel in Höfn. On our way to Hofn, we stopped at Iceland's largest glacier. We had booked a tour with a guide to climb the glacier, and it was an unforgettable experience that I still think about often. I highly recommend it!

Eat some fries after the hike!
After a five-hour trek, we definitely deserved a treat—fries from a roadside gas station. Highly recommended! The gas station is also the meeting point for the tour, so it's the perfect spot to grab something to eat afterward.
The tongue of the glacier
Across from the gas station, there’s a trail that leads to the glacier's edge. It’s definitely worth visiting!
Drive towards Höfn
From the glacier to Höfn it is a one hour drive.
Hotel Höfn
We stayed at the Berjaya Hotel, and it was absolutely stunning. The sea view from the room was the most beautiful we’ve ever seen!
Have dinner in a local pub!
We took the sandwich.. it was a sandwich for two! Typical Icelandic: the bigger the better!
