Hiking in Hallasan National Park

Mount Hallasan, South Korea's highest mountain, is located in Hallasan National Park. This ancient shield volcano offers hiking trails with incredible views, volcanic craters, and diverse plant life. Only two trails lead to the summit and crater lake, but they require advance reservations and an early start due to checkpoints along the route. Alternatively, combine the Eurimok and Yeongsil trails for a rewarding hike without summiting. Park at the Eurimok trailhead, hike, and then take a bus back to your car.

Lamb skewers for dinner

This is actually the best food we had in South Korea! Pungyang is a very small and simple restaurant, yet the food was soooo good. The setup is quite fun: you order your choice of seasoned or unseasoned lamb skewers, cook them over hot charcoal at your table, and enjoy them alongside traditional Korean side dishes. Enter 풍양양꼬치 in Naver to navigate to the restaurant.
