Breathtaking views and stunning waterfalls
Start your Yosemite adventure with some breathtaking viewpoints and stunning waterfalls.

Sunrise at Tunnel View
What could be better than starting your day with a magical sunrise? Tunnel View, in our opinion, is the best viewpoint to watch the sun rise. It offers some incredible views of the Yosemite Valley. On the left you can see El Capitan, on your right Bridalveil Fall, and right in between Half Dome. The whole setting just feels unreal, we guarantee you will never have experienced a sunrise like this before! It's like looking at a painting, truly beautiful.
Did you take enough time to take in the stunning sunrise? Your next destination is just a 3-minute drive away.

Marvel at the Bridalveil Fall
Even if you only have one day, Bridalveil Fall cannot be missed! It is probably one of the most iconic and recognizable waterfalls in Yosemite. When we visited Yosemite (May 2023), the Bridalveil Fall Trail was closed due to the Bridalveil Fall Rehabilitation Project. If all goes well, the project should end in the summer of 2023. So if you’re planning on visiting Yosemite after the summer of 2023, make sure to do the hike as well! It is an about 2 km round trip, that offers incredible views for not a lot of effort. We couldn’t hike up to the waterfall itself, but luckily we could still admire the waterfall from a distance!
A 15-minute drive will take you to your next destination. Along the way you will see a lot of beauty, so be sure to look around!

Hike the Yosemite Falls Trail
Yosemite Falls is the highest waterfall in Yosemite National Park. There are two trails you can hike: the Lower Yosemite Fall Trail and/or the Upper Yosemite Fall Trail. The Lower Yosemite Fall Trail is an easy 1,6 km round trip with incredible views of the Lower Yosemite Fall. The path is a little bit uphill and paved for the most part, which should take you no more than 15 minutes. If you’re looking for a more challenging, but rewarding hike, make sure to hike the Upper Yosemite Fall Trail! It is a 12 km round trip with breathtaking scenery and challenging climbs that will take you between 6 to 8 hours. Definitely worth it if you’re into hiking!
You're probably exhausted after all that hiking. Don't worry, your last stop is only a 5-minute drive away and won't require any major effort ;-).

Admire El Capitan
You didn't think we were going to leave Yosemite without admiring the iconic El Capitan, did you? This dramatic rock formation can literally not be missed, it’s so massive that you can’t miss it! If you are an experienced climber, you can also choose to climb El Capitan. Otherwise, with any luck, you can spot climbers, which is also incredible!
