The end of a 2-day hike
The second day of our trail, with many highs and lows!
Hey ho, let's go!
Beginning near the Basilica in Echternach, the Mullerthal Trail first takes you up a short but challenging climb to the Trooskneppchen viewpoint. From this point, you can marvel at the stunning views of the Basilica and its surrounding landscapes.
Little Switzerland
Lots of up and downs! We continued walking along muddy paths, among the greenest trees and surrounded by walls of rocks. Up and down stairs, some more laborious than others. Little Switzerland it is!
Taking a break.
I'm not going to lie, the end of the trail was very tiring. We took a much needed break in Mullerthal itself, and had a drink in Hotel-Restaurant Le Cigalon. Getting ready for the last kilometers while enjoying the peacefull surroundings.
We did it!
At the end of day two, we made it back to Consdorf! We hiked about 50 kilometers, which was more than we expected. Another thing to tick off that bucket list!
