When you are on the island of Santo Antão, make sure to head out to the far most northern point of the island: Ponta do Sol. This little village is the perfect spot to explorer a little mountain village called 'Fontainhas'. Once voted as the second most beautiful village in the world by National Geographic. It is located in a steep valley and it overlooks the crashing waves of the Atlantic Ocean. From Ponta do Sol you'll hike in less than 30' to the viewpoint from where you can admire this colorful village down below.
