Singapore

Singapore in a snap

Where tradition meets technology and gardens bloom beneath skyscrapers. Welcome to Singapore! We stayed at the Ibis Budget Imperial Hotel, a budget-friendly yet super convenient choice thanks to its close proximity to the MRT station. Getting around Singapore couldn’t have been easier. The metro system is fast, clean, and intuitive. The best part? You can simply tap in and out using your bank card, no need to worry about buying separate tickets. Later in the day, we strolled through the impressive shopping mall near Gardens by the Bay, perfect for cooling down and doing some window shopping. Singapore may be small, but in just one day, it gave us a world of impressions.

Gardens by the Bay

The true highlight? Gardens by the Bay. Even without visiting the indoor domes, the outdoor gardens were absolutely stunning. We arrived just before sunset, and by 7:45 PM, we were mesmerized by the light and music show among the Supertrees, which that night had a fun retro theme. There's a second show at 8:45 PM if you miss the first, both are free and unforgettable.

Singapore Changi airport

The next morning, before leaving Singapore, we spent time at Changi Airport and wow, what an experience! This isn’t just an airport; it’s a destination in itself. With its lush indoor jungle and the world-famous waterfall, it felt more like a futuristic garden paradise than a transit hub. Don’t skip this, even if you’re just passing through.
