Hike to Skaros Rock and take a boat tour
The first two days were relaxed, now it's time for some adventure! Prepare for some hiking and outstanding views.

Hike to Skaros Rock
Skaros Rock is located in front of the village of Imerovigli, a peaceful and relaxing village situated at the highest point of the island. It is a huge rock formation that overlooks the shimmering sea. In the earlier days, it used to be a former fortress. Nowadays it consists of a few ruins due to volcanic eruptions and earthquakes. To experience Santorini from a different point of view, you can hike to the top for an amazing 360-degree view!

Enjoy the views at Volkan on the Rocks
Time for more great views! At Volkan on the Rocks, located in Firostefani, you can enjoy the thrilling panoramic views of Fira, the Caldera and the volcanic islands. Sit back, relax, and enjoy a cocktail and some meze while taking in the view. It can get quite busy here, but since most people only come for a drink and Volkan has plenty of tables, waiting times are short.

Take a Volcano and Hot Springs boat tour
Next up: the Volcano and Hot Springs boat tour. Swim in the warm hot spring water, with a temperature that varies from 30 to 35 degrees Celcius. Do not expect very hot temperatures though, as the water constantly mixes with the regular, colder, seawater. It’s more like “now it’s warm, aaaand it’s gone”. But fascinating nonetheless! The second stop is the famous volcano of Santorini at the volcanic island of Nea Kameni. You get an hour and a half to walk to the top where the active craters are. Make sure to bring some water (or buy some on the boat) as it can get very hot. Do not underestimate the glaring Santorinian sun! Once you arrive at the top it’ll feel like you’re walking on planet Mars, but the moment you look in the distance and notice you’re surrounded by water, you remember: I am in beautiful Santorini!

Sunset dinner at Restaurant The Vine
At The Vine, located in the charming town of Fira, you will be treated to a truly romantic dining experience as you watch the sun dip below the horizon. The views from the restaurant are nothing short of mesmerizing and will leave you in awe. As you sip on a glass of local wine, you can take in the panoramic vistas of the surrounding landscape. But the real star of the show here is the Greek cuisine. The menu is packed with delicious and authentic dishes that are sure to delight your taste buds. Each dish is expertly crafted and infused with the bold flavors of the Mediterranean. And the best part? The prices are incredibly reasonable, making this the perfect spot for an affordable, yet unforgettable, sunset dinner.
