A December Day in Paris
Looking for a nice citytrip in december? Then consider a trip to the city of Love! Paris is a great destination all year round but in december it’s extra festive. If you live in the Netherlands this city can be reached easily by car or train in half a day so you have the rest of the day to explore around!

The iconic Louvre museum
Start your day at the iconic Louvre. This museum attracts many visitors but it’s popular for a good reason! A few places not to miss are; Liberty Leading the People By Eugène Delacroix ' (the symbol of the French Revolution) The Napoleon III Apartments and the famous Mona Lisa (but be prepared to stand in a huge waiting line for this one!) There are so many things to see in the Louvre you could easily spend an entire day at the Louvre!
Take an cab or uber

The Basilica of Sacré Coeur de Montmartre
Next stop is another iconic place, the Sacré Coeur. This roman catholic church stands proudly on top of a hill with a great view over Paris. It’s the second most visited attraction after the Eiffel tower so definitely expect some crowds unless you visit very early in the morning. You could also watch the sunset here!

Idyllic Montmartre
Head down to the Montmartre neighboorhood and wander around it’s idyllic streets. The vibe here is very cool and cozy and different to the rest of Paris! This neighborhood used to be a seperate village where many artists used to live, that’s why it’s also a great place for souvenir shopping if you want to buy something unique. Definitely check out La Maison Rose, this pink restaurant in Montmartre has been featured in different films and is a famous ‘instagram’ spot.

Moulin Rouge
In the evening, if your feet are not too tired, visit the famous Moulin Rouge. This famous club with its windmill is famous for its can-can dancers. You can either pass by to make some photos here, or if you dare (and are willing to afford the high price) buy tickets for the show! Also wander around the nearby streets if you want to buy some very unique souvenirs for the bedroom if you know what I mean ; )
