Italy
A day of discovery
Exploring St. Mark's Basilica and Square, taking a gondola ride, looking for secret alleys, and more.
Visit the Basilica di San Marco and Piazza San Marco
The Basilica di San Marco is renowned for its stunning Byzantine architecture. The interior is adorned with dazzling mosaics made of gold and colourful glass. Be sure to book your entry in advance to skip the lines.
Embrace Venice's Waterways
A visit to Venice is incomplete without a gondola ride, offering a unique perspective of the city. Glide through narrow canals, pass beneath charming bridges, and meander beside historic buildings, all providing a view of Venice that's impossible to replicate on foot.
Wander through the city's alleys
Lose yourself in the maze of Venetian alleys, discovering squares that are perfect for having a drink. Head to Campo Santa Margherita, Campo Santo Stefano, Campo San Giacomo dell'Orio or Campo San Polo for a taste of local life.
Gelato delight
When you say Italy, you say gelato! Savour a scoop of authentic Italian gelato. It's a delightful way to take a well-deserved break and indulge in a taste of Italy.
Palazzo Contarini del Bovolo
Seek out the Palazzo Contarini del Bovolo, a palazzo best known for its external multi-arch spiral staircase, tucked away in a small alley. Its staircase leads to an arcade, providing an impressive view.

Climb the book steps at Libreria Acqua Alta
This might be the most unique bookstore you'll ever visit. Books are displayed in a whimsical fashion: in the middle of the store there's a boat filled with books. Don't miss the staircase made out of old books on the terrace in the back of the store.
Sunset at the top of the Campanile
Return toPiazza San Marco to catch the sunset at the top of the Campanile. It's the best time of day to visit the Bell Tower and in low season there's hardly any line at this time of day. The 360 degree views are stunning and you get a great insight into Venice's unique geography.

End the day with a Venetian bar crawl, exploring cosy bàcari that serve drinks cicchetti (small bites). Some of the top spots are Oficina Ormesimi, Cantina Vecia Carbonera, Decanter Vineria, Cantina Schiavi and Cantina Do Mori.
