We visited the Vitlycke Museum, a fascinating place that brings the Swedish Bronze Age to life. Nestled among UNESCO-protected rock carvings, the museum presents history through engaging storytelling. Outside, you can explore reconstructed Bronze Age houses and even try out some archery.
We joined a guided tour (of 30 minutes) of the nearby Vitlycke panel, the most visited rock carving site in the World Heritage area. The carvings, created over more than a thousand years starting around 1800 BCE, depict life, death, fertility, and other themes that were central to the people of Tanum.
