Three icons of Berner Oberland

During the first day, we arrived in Lauterbrunnen and parked our car in a big parking space in the center, it costs around 15 euros a day. Before we started our hike, we first had a good impression of the village, it’s well known for its high cliffs and waterfalls. after strolling through the village, which is rather small, we walked immediately up to a village at the top of one of these cliffs, Mürren. You can also take the steepest cable car to this place. After the steep hike to the village, we arrived and enjoyed the nice atmosphere in Mürren, again rather touristic but a pleasure to see. After strolling through Mürren, we walked further to Gimmelwald, a village nearby that looks very typical Swiss! From that village, you can also take the cable car down. Once down, you can walk back to your starting point in Lauterbrunnen. The cable car is one of the steepest and definitely an experience! It goes right next too the cliffs, there even building a new steeper one!

Camping Jungfrau

During the walk, you have an impressive view of the three icons of the Berner Oberland: Eiger, Mönch und Jungfrau. Back in Lauterbrunnen, we’ve went to Camping Jungfraujoch to set up our tent. You can also rent a cosy cabin, but we’ve kept it simple. The sanitair and camping is very clean and cosy, no negative points here!
